Inspired by my friends Rich and Sara at The Joshua Tree House, I started my own adventure into short-term rentals in 2019.
The vision is a series unique and remote destinations that add up to a great California road trip.
For us, operating our rentals has been akin to product development. With an initial focus on crafting experiences, we’ve come to realize we need to balance experience with compelling features.

Inspired by my friends Rich and Sara at The Joshua Tree House. I started my own adventure into short-term rentals in 2019 with our first property in the high desert of Twentynine Palms with the goal of creating a great California road trip.
In hindsight, operating a portfolio of rentals has been akin to product development. With a focus initially on creating a great guest experience, we’ve also come to realize that features, or amenities, matter. And balancing both well takes intention and good design.
